I watched this creative and enlightening video today about Lipedema, the condition I have in my legs. I wanted to share it with all of you to raise awareness about this condition. 🙂  Stay tuned for more Lip Lady Fashion tips coming soon!

‘Fat Legs and All’ is a quirky and creative video made to raise awareness of Lipoedema and show that with understanding and education it is possible to achieve a better quality of life. Lipoedema is a complex, chronic medical condition that involves abnormal fat deposits in the buttocks, thighs and lower legs, but not the feet. It sometimes effects the arms and is also colloquially known as ‘painful leg syndrome’.

Made in consultation with the newly established LASS group in Australia, the film covers both the similarities and the differences in experience of people with Lipoedema. Characters in the film are three different women who become connected because of their condition.

This film doesn’t pretend to offer clinical diagnosis or solutions but in raising the profile of Lipoedema it aims to provide people with the tools and confidence to work with their health care professionals. ‘Fat Legs and All’ is a contribution to a continuing movement to build community understanding about Lipoedema.
